For youth in Syria, the ongoing violent conflict has made the thought of attending higher education a difficult if not a distant dream. That is why Blossom Hill Fellow George Batah offers a targeted college coaching program to help ambitious and promising Syrian students in Syria or displaced in other countries achieve their goals at no cost. Jad, who is based in Syria, is one of them. After working hard in the program, Jad was accepted to Brown University with a full scholarship. He was also a Rise finalist and participated in multiple global youth leadership training programs. We’re excited to see where the next step of his academic journey takes him.
