We fund programs, projects or products that aim to positively impact the lives of communities (children, youth, families, etc.) affected by conflict and war in the Middle East.
Refugee children live under unusual and difficult conditions with little or no access to technology that can improve their lives. With our innovative programs, we are reaching a wide range of children with groundbreaking technology that teach them literacy skills and improve their access to higher education.
Millions of refugee children are missing out on an education. Without an opportunity to learn, they risk becoming a lost generation with little chance for a better future. Through sustainable programs, our Fellows are working to ensure refugees can learn and develop the skills they need to succeed in life.
The development of the "whole child" from early childhood through adolescence is critical to long-term development and success of all children. Blossom Hill is committed to providing innovative initiatives for refugee children that will not only prepare them for learning and academic success, but empower them with life skills as they continue to live under difficult conditions.
For refugee youth whose education has been interrupted and ability to earn a livelihood undermined by war and conflict, the future is bleak. We are dedicated to empowering these youth to break from the cycle of poverty by offering innovative vocational training in computer skills, business entrepreneurship and language instruction.
Blossom Hill seeks passionate, committed individuals with innovative ideas about how to improve the lives of war-affected children from the Middle East.
A Fiscal sponsor must be a U.S. registered 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization. Fiscal sponsors will be required to agree to manage and disburse funds to the Fellow according to the terms of the project.
Dear Blossom Hill Family,
Last week, our team had the privilege of visiting three of our transformative programs in Greece. What we witnessed was both heartbreaking and inspiring—stark reminders of the refugee crisis alongside powerful evidence that your support is making a genuine difference in lives that might otherwise be forgotten.
As Mother's Day approaches, we're particularly mindful of the parental roles our fellows play in the lives of refugee children. Throughout our journey, we observed countless moments where our program leaders provided not just education, but the emotional support typically offered by mothers and fathers. In honoring mothers this month, we also celebrate the nurturing presence our fellows provide to children.
AN OASIS IN MALAKASA: BLOSSOM HILL'S COMMUNITY CENTER
The Malakasa refugee camp, with its sterile buildings and barbed wire, stands as a sobering reminder of displacement. Yet within this challenging environment, the Blossom Hill Community Center offers a vibrant contrast—a place where humanity and dignity thrive.
During our visit, children's laughter filled the air as they enjoyed face painting, spirited volleyball matches, and playground games. Families gathered in conversation while others sought legal advice or participated in wellness activities. What struck us most was the transformation in people's expressions as they crossed our threshold—the visible relief of finding a place designed for connection rather than containment.
"This is the only place where my children can be children again," one mother told us, watching her daughter carefully paint flowers on her friend's cheek.
The center serves as the sole respite for families who otherwise face endless hours with nothing to do—an oasis of possibility in what can feel like a desert of waiting.
When tiny hands shape big emotions: Play therapy in Hebron
In the ancient streets of Hebron's Old City, our youngest residents are finding healing through their fingertips. This week, children aged 5-8 participated in specialized psychosocial support sessions using dough and sand play therapy.
Through these tactile materials, children express fears they cannot yet put into words—processing the impacts of violence and movement restrictions they face daily. Each creation becomes a safe container for their emotions, allowing them to shape their experiences into something they can understand and control.
These evidence-based interventions are part of Blossom Hill's commitment to supporting children in conflict zones. Because every child deserves tools to process trauma, regardless of circumstances.
