Hala, 14, is an Iraqi refugee living in Jordan. She signed up for Blossom Hill Fellow’s Fearless Girls program – an initiative to empower girls through rock climbing and discussions to overcome obstacles in life in order to pursue their dreams. Hala said: “I heard about the climbing program from a friend who saw an advertisement on the organization’s Facebook page. So I signed up because I was curious about the climbing program and I wanted to know what skills I could learn from it. I was very excited on the first day. After joining the program and learning climbing skills, I was able to challenge my fears, strengthen my personality, and no longer be afraid of heights.”
