Khadija, 14, is a student at Blossom Hill Fellow Maryam Montague’s Project Soar program for girls in Syria. She fled her home to resettle in the northwest region due to the war. Displacement was very hard but the program has taught her resilience and the ability to put her skills to good use to further her dreams.
She said: “Project Soar and Blossom Hill provided me with a safe environment where I met so many girls who are now my friends. Through the activities and workshops that we do, they taught me how to be satisfied with myself and my personality, and that I need to be strong and build motivation to progress rather than despair.”
