With Blossom-Hill’s support, our Fellow Mellissa Diamond has been responding to the needs of earthquake-displaced families of children with disabilities in Turkey through the provision of funds for temporary housing, food, medication, psychosocial support, clothing, and supplies to support children’s sensory needs. On Saturday, March 4th, Melissa participated in a luncheon discussion, organized by the Clinton Global Initiative, with former Secretary Hillary Rodham Clinton. They discussed disaster response after the news cycle moves on and Hillary offered her advice for ensuring crisis situations, and the needs of children with disabilities impacted by them, remain in the headlines. Melissa also spoke on a panel on creating and fostering an inclusive team.
