Blossom Hill Fellow Melissa Diamond is empowering refugee parents to positively impact the lives of their children on the autism spectrum through an informed rigorous curriculum. Here is Rasha’s story.
“I am the mother of twins on the autism spectrum. The best part of the program was the individual sessions. I’d never had individual support with my children before. I have two children and they have different needs. My son Hani is very active and can be aggressive. They taught me how to stop him from hurting his hands. My daughter Rahaf is calm and quiet. They taught me to help improve her speech.
Rasha, Hani and Rahaf are just a few of the 18,000 children, parents and teachers that have benefitted from Melissa’s program.”
