Students participating in Blossom Hill Fellows Ahmad Rostami and Furogh Mirdad’s Entrepreneurship training program in Kabul recently presented at the annual conference of the South Asian Economics Students’ Meet in Sri Lanka. The conference’s goal is charting economic integration and regional cooperation in South Asia and gathering young economists to exchange ideas relating to the region.
Sahar (on the right), the 2017 Gold Medalist graduate of Ahmad and Furogh’s program, and Hashmatullah (on the left), a current student, were two of the 10 delegates representing Afghanistan. Sahar was awarded the Best Paper Prize on “Poverty and Food Security”. She said: “Among the people who positively influenced me and shaped the way I professionally grew, I particularly am grateful for the guidance, help and support that you offered me throughout the 2017 Blossom Hill Fellowship. I once again take this opportunity to thank you for all the good you have done for me.”
