Dear Blossom Hill Family,
Today we celebrate mothers and mothering – the quiet strength of unconditional love that shapes our world. Last week we had a chance to gather for our Cherry Blossom Tea at the New Canaan Playhouse which blossomed into a magnificent celebration of connection. The elegant transformation of the space welcomed friends who explored treasures from local vendors, crafted vibrant bouquets at our curated Flower Bar, and shared conversations over specialty teas and a delightful lunch fare with authentic British sweets.
Beyond the beauty of the day lies its profound purpose: every moment shared supports children who need nurturing most. We see a beautiful symmetry in this gathering—as we celebrate the mothers who nurture children at home, your support nurtures refugee children across the globe through our education programs.
To everyone who attended, thank you for creating beauty that extends far beyond flowers—all the way to children finding hope through our education programs.
Special thanks to:
Serena Van Rensselaer and our founder Shiva for designing the Blossom Hill necklace which we launched at the event. Serena is generously donating 100% of the proceeds from this piece to Blossom Hill.
New Canaan Moms for the SPF hydrating lip balms which were gifted to our guests
Mary Lynn Poin, Janet Leung and Mahshid Nasseri – our long time dedicated volunteers without which we could not pull off these community events
And, of course, you, our donors, who took the time to attend and contribute to this event in what is otherwise a very busy time of year
Please follow us on Instagram and Facebook for more photos from this event.
These moments of connection remind us that when community comes together, transformation is possible. With heartfelt appreciation and warm Mother’s Day wishes.
